Best Buy Complaint - Return Policy
FREDERICK, MARYLAND -- I returned a surround sound system to Best Buy in Frederick, MD on 10/26/04. The customer service rep. was smug and rude as he pointed to the wall to show me that Best Buy will not accept any returns over 30 days. Excuse me for indecision. As a money spending customer, I think I am allowed to change my mind. I did not ask for a monetary refund, I asked for a gift card to be used later. After then speaking with the manager, who was even ruder that the customer service rep., I was furious and left the store and called 1-888-BESTBUY. I got no satisfaction from them either. I also noticed a 25% restocking fee charged if they accepted your return. I didn't charge Best Buy 25% because I had to walk to the shelf and pick the item up. Why should I pay 25% for their paid associates to walk to the shelf and put the item back. Be careful if you should have the misfortune of dealing with Best Buy. You better be 200% positive you truly want the item you just spent your hard earned money for because you will never see it back. Instead of being called Best Buy, they should change their name to Don't Buy.
