Target Complaint - Less than stellar check-out
Resolution Update on 03/29/2010:
I'm am okay now.
GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA -- I was on my way home after a long day and I stopped by this store to get a few things, including a 10 pound bag of dog food. When I went up to the register, I waited patiently behind 2 other people. I started putting my items (including dog food, which is heavy for an elderly person to pick up) on the counter, the cashier told me I would have to move to another register because the system was down at the current one. That was annoying, but I put my items back in my basket and moved. When it was my time to go through the line, I paid with a credit card. I looked behind me and noticed the cashier had not applied the coupons that I gave her when I got to the till. I asked if she applied them & she said, "well, no." I don't know if she was confused by my question or just having a bad day. She got a nice little man to come over and figure out how to give me change for the coupons I used. He was very helpful & I was on my way. However, I can't help but feel annoyed that after asking me to move & lift the dog food 3 times (up, down, up), she forgot to scan my coupons.
This isn't a big deal, but it did make me feel disappointed. The service at your store is always so good! However, since it could have just been an off night, I will let it pass. I merely wanted to let you know that elderly customers are just as important as other customers. It is hard to lift heavy dog food over & over again just because the equipment isn't working in your store.
Thank you for your time.
