Claim Jumper Restaurant Complaint - Terrible Customer Service

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA -- A few months back my fiance and I went to dinner at Claim Jumper in Las Vegas, NV. It was an important evening for us because we were soon getting married and our parents were meeting each other for the very first time. We had a reservation for 545pm. I can understand them running a little bit behind because, in all fairness to the restaurant, it was a Saturday night. So, along with other customers we waited.....and waited....and waited some more. There were approximatley 20 people standing around in the entrance cause they only had enough seats for FOUR people to wait. The reservation was for 545. We did not get a table until 7:05!!! One hour and 20 minutes later! We sit, we order and we get our food. The prices were very high and the food was not good, but thats not what I'm complaining about. They bring us our food. Not more than 10 minutes after they set the food on the table, the waiter comes by and asks if we are ready for dessert! Dessert??? We still had most of our food in front of us. We all respond 'No thanks'--With that, he drops the check on the table--We are not even close to being finished and already we have our check!!! Sure enough, five minutes later, if that, he comes by again--and actually asks if he can get our credit card so he can ring up the bill. We sat in the lobby for 1 hr 20 mins: We'd only been eating for 10 minutes and now we were being rushed! Just to get him off our back, we gave him the credit card--mostly so he would just leave us alone!!! 2-3 minutes later, he returns with the bill and credit card slip. I am not kidding but not more than 3 minutes after that, the hostess comes by and actually says "Would you mind leaving? We have a lot of people waiting for a table". It was only 755. We'd spent more time sitting in the lobby waiting than actually eating at the table.

Follow up: We called the district office and got someone's name. This lady (cant recall her name) apologized and said she would send us a $25 gift certificate. We didnt ask for that nor did we want that. Even for FREE, the food wasnt worth it. As I'm sure you imagined, the gift certificate never showed up, even after a few repeated phonecalls.
Avoid Claim Jumper at all costs. The food is overpriced, is not good and the service is AWFUL

Guess you and the other dishwasher weren't going to get a tip that night siffer.

How did they know you were paying with a credit card? Please tell me you didn't leave a tip?= (To Insure Proper Service) I think some waiters/waitresses forget what this means and think no matter what, they deserve it. It must be the area because the Claim Jumpers I went to in Orange County was great all the way around.
