They told me unless I buy their prepaid card, I would not be able to talk to my son. When I told them I was going to call the FCC and my congressman, he said go ahead.
I urge you to check out your state attorney generals webpage and let's see if we can do something about these people.
It's like the mob stories you see on TV. You either pay or get their wrath. HELP!!!!!

Is this the service used by the facility your son is in? If so, then you play by their rules. Phone calls to criminals is a luxury not a right. You can always save money by writing letters.

To talk to your son who is incarcerated, you would have to accept a collect call. This outfit is exactly the same as using a collect call, they just do it through a prepaid card system, and their prices are very consistent with collect call fees from the major carriers.

Is your son incarcerated locally? The reason I ask is my LD calls from my landline are .25 per minute so a 30 minute call would be $7.50 plus connection fee for using the service plus extra taxes. I don't call anyone in prison, this is just to make a LD call to anyone.

if i remember correctly the fees are the same as collect calling
and there is always the option of USPS
