J.C. Penney Company, Inc. Complaint - Poor Quality of Oxford Shirt
I have purchased button-down Oxford shirts from JC Penney for 35 years. This year will be my last because JC Penney cheapened the quality of the fabric used in this style shirt to the point it is no longer worth buying. The fabric in this oxford has a very low thread count compared to oxfords made in previous years. After a few washings the shirt looks worn out, and it will not hold a sleeve crease if ironed. The fabric looks like cheese cloth. The quality of the stiffener in the collar was cut to the point the collar barely stands up on its own. I also noticed that all the shirts in the JC Penney went through a similar cheapening in the past year without a decrease in price. This is another indication to me that the U.S. is circling the drain and going broke. JC Penney would not have cut the quality of its shirts on such a wide scale unless it was in serious financial trouble.
