Delta Airlines Complaint - I will Never Fly With Delta Again!
I recently flew with Delta from San Francisco to Memphis, Memphis to New Orleans and from the beginning, I was very skeptical about traveling with them because I had read the reviews online that were mostly negative. Since I saw that many people had never received their luggage back, I decided to just have a carry on. When it got to our loading zone, we were told that they would check in our carry ons until our final destination for free.
When I saw that this announcement meant that I had to check my bags in, I decided to not argue and go along with it. When the employee got to checking in the bags, the man skipped my boyfriend and I. I feel like this was the case because we looked young and we are Latinos. There were people behind us and in front, and he skipped us. Luckily another Latino worker saw that we were standing there while the employee paid attention to another party and she helped us with checking in our bags. We got our luggage when we got to our destination, however, when I looked on my credit card statement, they had taken my credit card information and they charged me for checking in my bag when I did not have the necessity to do so. If they would have had room for my bag, I would not have minded lugging my bag around the airport.
I will definitely pay more attention to the reviews that I read. I would rather pay extra money for good service. Now my vacation will be filled with making annoying phone calls to a company that does not care for their customers and from the stories I have read, I doubt that I will get a refund for this, and if I don't, I will continue to bother them because it is not right that they are willing to upset the customer through lies. Also, I feel like it is really sad to see how racism prevails even though Delta is supposed to not discriminate about any of its customers. I paid for my flight and I deserve the same treatment as all of the other passengers on that plane.
