Ashley Furniture Complaint - Horrific Customer service & Tech Service
LAYTON, UTAH -- We purchased what we thought was a Micre-fiber sofa six months ago. We purchased the 5-year fabric warranty. (which according ashley furniture can be interpreted any way they want it!) In our case it means we have a peice of junk sofa and we have to live with it.
We waited a whole month for a Service Technician to come and tell us that he didn't have the authority to make any decissions! What a joke! So we told him we simply want to return it. I get a call about 2 days later from customer service to follow up on the service call to find out why we were unhappy. I told here what the tech told us and wanted to return it. She said since it is past 72-hours we can't! I said, whats the purpose of the warranty than? I asked her why she was calling me if she was just going to tell me that I'm wrong about everything! I asked to talk to a supervisor and she told me that SHE was the supervisor. I said, "now I don't want you to have to lie to me, as I know how Call Centers worked, because I've worked in one,..." I went on to say then I wanted to talk to the Call Center Manager and she said SHE was the Manager... Um OK, anyone else see a patern here? Now she's telling me she's the Manager. Come on now! She also told me that the Service Tech Supervisor doesn't take calls! UM WHAT THE FREAK! Horrible Customer service - and a company that doesn't Stand behind their products! Will NEVER buy fromt them again!
