Homewood Suites Complaint - noise and no sleep - hotel room in Kissimmee Florida

Review by senior on 2004-10-28
KISSIMMEE/ORLANDO, FLORIDA -- We were booked to stay at this hotel for 2 nights by liki tiki resorts- it is a 3 star hotel and the room was up to our expectations- until we tried to sleep in it- it is built right next to an interstate hi-way-with Semi's going by every 20 seconds- we gave up trying to get any sleep and after getting nothing but blank stares from the people on the desk(no offer to change rooms) we left after the first night and went to another hotel and as a result of this experience, we canceled the walt disney visit and went home to Indiana and I guess the $199 is lost-Hilton has sure gone down hill; they own Homewood Suites

Yes, some of the Hampton Inns have gone down hill also. To bad, they used to be really nice.

You did the right thing by going to another hotel, but why did you cancel the Walt Disney trip and go all the way back to Indian? That doesn't make any sense.

dang, this is really a surprise for Hilton. I agree- you did the right thing by leaving the hotel, but why DID you forget the whole Disney Land trip....lack of sleep maybe?!
