Unfair damages charged for VW Rental - Complaint
SPRINGFIELD, VIRGINIA -- I've been ripped off by VW of Franconia-Springfield for damages on a rental used while my VW was in being repaired. YOU MUST BEWARE OF THE EXISTING AND DROP OFF CONDITION OF THE CAR. This is not mentioned or promoted by VW, they and my insurance company are both only concerned with my signature on the lease. I can state with 100% certainty that no damage was done to the rental while in my possession. To both of them, my word is worthless. My advice is do not use any services from VW Springfield-Franconia.

It is partly your own responsibility to check the vehicle for damage before driving off. IF there is damage, have them note it before you take it. That way it is noted and you cannot be blamed for it. Many rental cars get the crap beat out of them, because its not the persons own vehicle.
