Oakley Sun Glasses Complaint - Don't Waste Your Money

Review by onacj on 2010-03-18
After spending $160 for a "quality" pair of Oakley sport sunglasses, one of the legs fell off after 14 months. Their warranty expires after one year. These sun glasses never left my car's comparment designed for glasses and were well taken care of. Their customer service department could not care less. I sent them back to the CEO with a letter although no acknowledgemet came.

Don't waste your money, there are better sun glasses both in style and in quality!

if they had a yr warranty and you had them more than a yr what is the deal? If your car runs out of warranty are they supposed to be nice cause you spent $30k? I don't see the validity of your complaint.

It's after the warranty, what do you expect? If it was your company would you pay for the replacement or repair of everyone's glasses out of warranty? No you would not!

All Oakley "Sport" glasses are made of what Oakley calls O Matter. It's a very flexible polycarbonate. To make a long story short--the "legs", as you call them, are made to come off incase you sit on them or a you g child gets ahold of them. If you take the time to look, they actually pop right back in. This is why the sport performance eyewear are not made with traditional metal hinges.
