Bobs furniture Complaint - Unfilled promises and poor quality
Welcome to bobs---after that its all downhill, the sales people act like your the only meal they've had in weeks. After you start walking around they follow you like your a shoplifting candidate. However, once you make a purchase, your their friend until the product breaks, or you call them for service. That is when the reality sets in, they come up with some reason why the goof proof is inapplicable or invalid. My wife begged me not to purchase any thing else, after we purchased three bedrooms sets, a living room set, a dining room set and various other furniture, in excess of $14000.00 in 2004. As a dummy, lured by their cheap prices and against my wife's protest, I proceeded to purchase two chairs and a table for my 83 year old dad as a gift, he lives in New York, I in New Hampshire, I told the person after I ordered through the Internet, I pick up by Friday, March 19th,2010 to take it to New York in time to surprise my dad and visit my gravely ill mother. I was informed that would not be a problem. I called the warehouse just now, before making an unnecessary trip and am told the truck will not arrive until sat, March 20,2010. I informed them I would rather cancel the order and shop elsewhere, even if I have to pay more elsewhere. Their response is you have to wait until the delivery is at the warehouse before you could cancel. WHY THE RUNAROUND- its just not worth..... saving a few bucks, when you encounter so many problems. I suppose our elders knew bob when they said "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR"
