Juniper Bank Complaint - Penalties and Interest scams
PHILADELPHIA PA -- I had a credit card with Juniper Bank for a number of years. When I had a medical condition develop, I called Juniper and explained the situation
I wanted to pay off the credit card limit and close out the account. I had spoke with several customer service reps and finally 2 supervisors that agreed to do this. This was a battle with all the people mentioned above.
After several conversations, The amount of the limit of the card was agreed. I sent in a payment thinking that They were going to be honest and close out my account. I received a letter from Barclay Bank stating that this was unacceptable and more interest and penalties were added to the card and if I did not pay then actions would be taken. I am appalled by talking with the credit company and then having Barclay Bank write me a nasty letter to give me threats on paying up or else.. They both need to be reported to the BBB. I warn EVERYONE.. Do not open a Credit Card with this company..When they tell you that if you pay a certain amount there will be NO more penalties and Interest and then a month later, they send you more penalties and interest and keep sending them month after month. We started out with our understanding of having paid off this card, and we have not used it in over a year but they keep adding more penalties and interest after we have paid the card off completely. so it seems if you have a Juniper Credit Card, you can never pay it off EVER.. We choose not to pay off the penalties and interests and plan on complaining to whoever will listen because either Juniper or Barclay Bank won't.
