AirTran Airways Complaint - Flight cancelled
Yesterday, Our flight from BWI Baltimore to Boston was cancelled at the last minute. AirTran took our names to refund our tickets but rudely told us we were on our own and there was nothing they could do about getting another flight out. All flights that day were full. Luckily I was able to make a couple of phone calls and booked a flight out on Jet Blue 7 hours later at a much much higher ticket price. Not Jet Blues fault. What irked me the most was AirTran saying there's nothing we can do, you are on your own. It seems to me they should at least apologize, I did not hear one and try to help make accommodations to get a flight out even if it was on another airline. I understand that flights get cancelled and sure I don't want to get on an unsafe plane if that was the reason but to not even attempt assisting in getting home is bad business. AirTran does not seem to want to keep it's customers. They just lost one and my family.
