My order for the computer was placed on March 11, and according to the order status, my computer was shipped on March 18, with the expected delivery date of March 19. Any intelligent person would know that was an overpromise. I expected the company to update the delivery date to a realistic day, but they kept the 19th date for several days. So, now it is March 22, the Fed Ex people have no idea where the package is, the customer service people in India is giving me the same information. So to the Dell Computer, this whole experience has been particular disappointing, making it a great case discussion in my International Marketing class. Oh, did I forget to mention that I am a Professor of Marketing?
