Sun Search Complaint - Paying A Retainer For Services Never Rendered

Review by Hong Kong Phooey on 2010-03-23
SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA -- On or around Jan 10, 2010, I signed an agreement with [snip - no names please], owner/President of Sun Search to represent me and find me a new CFO job. I paid [snip] a $500 retainer. Over the next 2 1/2 months [snip] performed little to no work on my behalf. I asked for feedback on 8-10 different occasions and did not even get a reply. On 3-4 occasions [snip] set up conference calls with me but failed to attend any of the calls (with a different excuse each time).

On 3/22/10 [snip] sent me an email terminating our relationship so that he could pursue more lucrative clients who pay bigger retainers. What a ripoff.

Most of these job search agencies provide very little service; once they get your money, they don't care if they find you a job.
