Saturn Complaint - defective transmission , ignition failure causing accident
VALENCIA, CALIFORNIA -- I own 2 saturns the first car I bought is a 2004 Saturn Vue not too many problems except the recall for possible failure of back axel they have yet to call me on the fix I have contacted them 3 times now, the engine light comes on periodically cant figure out why.
The Saturn Ion 2003 on the other hand has been plagued with problems starting at 9,000 miles
car sometimes hesitates when gassed, transmission slips and then jumps into gear when going down steep grade it revs to 5rpm Saturn says this is normal for that transmission they have recalibrated it but still continues to be a problem.
The other problem is that the car will shut down without warning and ignition and brakes lock up this has happened 5 different times and has been to dealer 4 times each time they said that it had been fixed. the 5th time it happened on the freeway at night during a heavy rain the car hydroplaned and landed in a inbankment causing thousands of dollars in damage Saturn refuses responsibility and wont even offer a loaner car so my daughter can go to work. They tell me they must recreate the incident with the tech..I have asked them to take the car back and they told me someone will call me in 7 to 10 days. I know they know its a problem and obviously they dont know how to fix it..Their customer service is good untill you have a problem they dealer wont help they tell you to call the manufacturer
