Best Buy Complaint - Selling Whirlpool Dishwasher without necessary parts
KENNEWICK, WASHINGTON -- Today we purchased a brand new, in the box, Whirlpool Built-in Tall Tub Dishwasher from Best Buy, brought it home, and during installation found that it comes missing a part to connect the unit to the water line. This part, a fitting to match the dishwasher pipe to the water line, is described on an "addendum" to the instructions, and it says to the consumer that this part is not included in the package, and you need to go buy it. If you have any trouble finding it, you should call Whirlpool. So we called Best Buy to ask why it wasn't sold with the unit and they said, "We don't carry it." And they advised us to go to Home Depot. Well, we could've bought this dishwasher from Home Depot in the first place... Whirlpool is to blame for not providing the fitting, and Best Buy should sell appliances with all needed parts, or notify the consumer if a unit is missing any, and advise them where and what to buy. That is customer service.
