Sears Complaint - Horrible Repair Service/Incompetent Reps
TEXAS -- I bought a 62 inch TV in June of 2007. In July of 07, the TV goes bad. Call Sears repair service to make appointment and get the run around. It took them 1 month to finally get my TV fixed. In October of 07 the lamp goes out this time. Guess what?? I have to endure more run around and way at least 5 weeks to get that fixed. Ok in January of 10, the lamp goes out again, call Sears they send the part and my husband puts it in because this time we did not want to get the run around and wait weeks to have a tech come out to the fix it. After the lamp in put in, the TV starts to show dark, in order to waTVh the TV we have to closr the blinds, draw the drapes and turn off all the lights in the living room, just to watch TV, we can't sit on certain chairs because the glare from the living rm light will reflect off of the TV screen and prevent us from seeing. Cant watch TV in the day because the glare from the windows do the same thing. Called Sears on feb,4th,10 to let them know about this issue, they sent out a tech on feb,18,10. He has was unable to fix it so he ordered the part and had it shipped to our house and then he sets up an appoint for March,4,10 to come back and put it in. The part arrived on feb,21,10. So on March,4,10 I took half day of work to be home when the tech comes. Well guess what?? He never showed up!! When I called Sears to tell them about this, the representative Told me that I never had an appointment, and that I needed to call once the part arrived. Well no one told me that, so I did not know that I needed to call. Plus, I watched the tech set me up an appointment for March,4.
Anyway that was a waste of time trying to explain anything. So I angrily accepted another appointment for March, 25,10. I took half of the day off again and waited for the tech to arrive. Get ready for this shocker-the tech never shows up. I called Sears at 4:30pm because in was feeling uneasy about this, they said that the tech was on his way. Called again at 5:35pm, representative says that the tech is still on his way. Called again at 6:45pm, representative Still saying that tech is on the way. Well it's the next day and tech still is not here. I called Sears again, now representative Is telling me that I have to make another appointment for April,4,10. I am usually not rude to people, but there was no way for me to hold it back, I think I said a couple curse word too, not quite sure. But Sears items are sorry, and their repair service is even worse. Sears wil never get another dime from me ever
