24 Hour Fitness Complaint - Ripped Off
BEAVERTON, OREGON -- I joined 24 Hour Fitness March 1,2010 at Scholls Murray Place Beaverton Oregon. I am 68. I was told by [snip] that it was mandatory to pay 129 for 3 sessions of private training when you join. He said though if for any reason I didn't like pt I could get my money back. I took my first session and barely could walk after for 4 days. I called and decided to cancel my membership on March 19 2010. They told me I have to come in in order to cancel. I came in and asked to cancel my membership. I asked them if I could get a refund for pt. They said yes because I had only been there 19 days. The next day they called me and asked me why I wanted to cancel and I told them I wasn't comfortable with their gym it was to big, to stuffy, not friendly and just not what I wanted at all. She told me that in order to get my pt refund I had to do 3 more sessions. I asked her why and she said that's policy. I never ever saw any policy like that. I said I had done one already. She said that one doesn't count.
The first one was only an orientation one. I said again I couldn't move for 4 days after the orientation one and didn't want to do anymore and she said too bad that's policy.
Any advice on how to get my refund. Would be greatly appreciated.
