National Floors Direct Complaint - Bad Experience with this Company
MASSACHUSETTS -- We ordered carpet for a second floor hall and stairs. National Floors Direct ads offer next day installation. We asked for installation on a Saturday three weeks from the order date. We were told we would get a phone call the night before with a 4 hour time window.
The call came early on the morning of the installation (not the night before). We were told the installers would come between 4 and 8 P.M. At about 7 P.M. we got a call from NFD and were told the installers wouldn't get to our home by 8 P.M. We asked when they would arrive and were told between 9:30 and 10 P.M. Since the job would then take about 3 hours, they offered to reschedule. We agreed to reschedule if we would be the first appointment on the new date. We were told that wasn't possible. After about a 15 minute argument followed by nearly 10 minutes on hold, a customer service representative came on and said we would be the first appointment on the new date.
The new date arrived (2 Saturdays after the original installation date). We got a phone call around 9 A.M. telling us the installers would arrive between 9 A.M. and 1 P.M. We asked how this was the first appointment and said we were promised we'd be first. The customer service representative gave my husband a ridiculous explanation about how the installers all go to a warehouse to get their materials at the same time and it takes a while to get them on the road.
The installers arrived at 11:45 A.M. and finished the job at 3:30. They also told me that they had done a job before ours that day. Somehow we were not surprised to hear we had been lied to yet again.
This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Never again.
