Best Buy Complaint - Unreasonable Return Policy
TEXARKANA, TEXAS -- Your return policy is totally unreasonable. The fourteen and thirty day return limit is not reasonable. Telling a customer that a product is OLD, you do not put the items back on the shelf for resale, is incorrect, and unbelievable. I tried to return 2 routers, a simple save external hard drive and was told it was OLD, it was in the same condition as when I bought them on January 16 2010.
I purchased $1,873.95 worth of computer equipment. I explained to the salesman, HP representative & the sales clerk that where I live, a dish is needed for Internet, that we were on a waiting list and had no date set for setup, both told me I had 90 days to return the items. I was not able to get connected until March 17, 2010. Once hooked up, the items listed above were not workable for my needs, so on March 25, 2010 I drove 60 miles to return the items, I was told they were OLD and would not return the items, Now I have $300.00 worth of equipment I can not return or use.
Tell me how a piece of computer equipment can get OLD and there is now way to tell if an item is going to work or not in 14-30 days. I walked to the shelf in the store and saw the very same items for sale .
I don't know how many people on the street read the back of their receipt. Not 1% of the population. I can not afford to loose $300.00 I want a refund! Your refund policy is robbery, no other way to say IT!
