Tom Tom Compliment - Good tech support
I had a problem with my Tom Tom 325XL. It went bonkers on me, and being 72, I really have no clue how these things work. I called tech support today and got a hold of a nice young man who worked with me, thought we had it covered and he turned me loose. We were on the phone for over 30 minutes. After doing all the things he said - no luck - sameo-sameo. So I called back and got a gentleman who was not quite so helpful, insisting he didn't have time to walk me through everything and said to "Just read the instructions and follow them". If I could do that I wouldn't be on the phone. A Third call got me Joshua who treated me like his grandma. That I was almost crying at this point probably helped. He walked me through a total reformat and a lengthy download of all new stuff. After the download (1 1/2 hrs.) started he bid me goodbye. We were on the phone for over and hour. When the download was done I still had a small problem so Audra took over. In a few quick minutes I was good to go again and after all the downloads, updates, and whatever, my Tom Tom is as good as new. Thank you TomTom support and thank you TomTom for not outsourcing to India.
I am also writing to TomTom, Inc. to tell them they have some very good people working there.
I totally believe in complaining when it is due and complimenting when service is good. It took all day but my device is working
