L'Oreal USA, Inc. Compliment - I Ain't Got Nobody.. But Now I Do!

Compliment
Review by Venice09 on 2010-03-30
I have baby fine, fragile hair that's poker straight. I am always looking for products to give it a boost, and the proof is in my collection of shampoos, conditioners, hairsprays, gels and mouse, all used just one time before being retired to The Home under the bathroom sink. So when L'Oreal came out with its new EverStrong line, I tried to ignore it because I didn't want to be tempted to buy another product that would be used only once. But then something came along to convince me to open my wallet, and that was The Almighty Coupon! There's nothing like a coupon and a sale to get me to try a product.

I am happy to report that L'Oreal's EverStrong Bodify Shampoo out performed all the products in my graveyard under the sink, and even gave me better results than Pantene Full and Thick shampoo, my old standby. I noticed the difference after the first use, just like it says on the bottle. My short, fine hair felt stronger and was easier to style with the blow dryer, but it didn't feel covered in product like some others seem to do. It had a lot of fullness that felt very natural. The shampoo is thick and creamy and lathers very well. And of course, as advertised, it is sulfate-free. I was so pleased that I found another coupon and ran out to get the conditioner.

I don't usually recommend hair products because everyone has different issues and uses different styling techniques, but I think anyone with hair like mine who styles with a blow dryer will not be disappointed with EverStrong. I think this shampoo would also address some of the problems men have with their hair, and the smell is appropriate for everyone.

So, what are you waiting for?.. Go get yourself a tube of L'Oreal's EverStrong Shampoo! And if you're not looking for some body, there are other varieties, too.

My wife loves their products and coupons, too, Venice! Good review!

Good review! I have the opposite problem with my hair, but I'll definitely give their products a look next time I'm at the store.

Good stuff. I've been meaning to write a review about this L'Oreal face wash but I want to give it a little more time.

I was thinking of giving the shampoo a little more time before praising the results, but I was just so pleased, I couldn't help myself. And it does come in different varieties. I think there was a smoothing one, but I really didn't give it much attention because that's the last thing I need.

Thanks, everyone.

I have baby fine straight hair too. I will have to try this. VH

Good review Venice. I'll have to try this L'Oreal--becuase I'm worth it.

Thanks for the review. I don't have thin hair, but it seems to pull an 'Ejack' on me and goes limp. Maybe I'll check this out and see how it works for me.

If you try it, yaya, let me know what you think. I used it again and am still pleased.

I'm worth it too, Slim!.. that's why I also bought the conditioner. That's something I never do .

Well.. I don't know if this will help ejack, but you certainly can give it a try, DB!

I'm almost out of the Herbal Essence that I use and have been wanting to try a new product. So this review is good timing

I used to love the smell of Herbal Essence...until they changed it.
Posted by littleyaya on 2010-03-30:
Yeah I don't like the new Herbal Essence as much either

I also have short, fine, straight hair but mine is thick as mud. That helps a great deal in my case but I still don't have any body in my hair. I'll give this product a try. It might even cut down on the use of a curling iron. Thanks.

Speaking of smell, you might not be crazy about the smell of this shampoo. I'm really sensitive to smells, and this wasn't my favorite but not overpowering either.

Nohandle, I use the cold shot on my blow dryer to style, and my hair seemed to hold it's shape better with this shampoo. That's what surprised me the most. It just seemed more manageable. And my hair still looked good the next day, but I did also use gel and hairspray.

Venice, I love you for this review! I tried the L'Oreal shampoo and conditioner today. My hair is so soft and full of body, even my brother noticed. I agree about the smell. It doesn't smell as nice as Herbal Essence, but my hair looks great so I can deal with the smell.

Yaya, I was just going to post here again today to say that I finally used the conditioner and love it as much as the shampoo. And I hardly ever use conditioner because that's the last thing I need.

I'm so glad you got the same results I did. As I said, I usually don't recommend hair care products because I am usually disappointed with the ones recommended to me. But I was just so pleased with my hair after only one use of the shampoo that I had to share my experience.

Even if I stop loving it sometime down the road, I'll still be grateful for all the good hair days I had using this shampoo. And with sulfates getting such a bad rap lately, it's nice to know this is sulfate free!

Oh my gosh, I was going to post a similar review and go figure I come across YOURS! I have a feeling we'll be great "friends"! ;)

So, my hair is just like yours, only long - and I also typically use another brand but my local walmart was out, and this was on sale - so lazy me said f-it, I'll try it. AMAZING. Now the only thing that worries me is EVERY time I fall in love with a product it gets discontinued. Fingers crossed, because this stuff is the bees knees!

If anyone's the kiss of death, it's ME! Every time I find something I think I can't live without, it's either discontinued or the formula changes.

I've been meaning to post an update on this review. I'm still using this stuff and it's still working great. Sometimes the thrill wears off and it's not as good as you originally thought, but these products are still going strong. I'm so glad you tried it. I was hesitant at first because nothing is ever what I expect it to be. I have so many products that I only used a few times and are now taking up space. But so far this shampoo and conditioner have withstood the test of time. Now let's just hope they don't change it!
