Enterprise Rent-A-Car Complaint - Disappointed with Enterprise,I have no answer yet...
I rented a car at a Louisville Enterprise Office, a mid-size car to travel with my family to Atlanta 2 weeks ago. I went to the office close by my home where I have rented cars before and everything was excellent as usual, nice staff, good customer service, no complaints till here. They gave me a Ford Fusion like brand new. Staying at the Country inn Hotel parking lot, Atlanta, GA, at 4 pm,(03/18/2010) ,after finishing my daily activities, I went with my son and wife to start the car and we realized that mysteriously the windshield
had a crack at the driver side. I called this office in Louisville and they asked me to go to the South-Airport Enterprise Agency in Atlanta where we were given another car, KIA Rondo, to come back to Kentucky. The staff gave us a good treatment and the lady who took care of us said that this kind of issues had been reported before on this cars, and that they would take care of it, that they did not need to make any phone call to the Expedia insurance company. When I arrived to Ky, they said that they would take care of every thing that I did not have to worry about it. A few days ago I received a letter by mail form the Enterprise Damage Recovery Unit, saying that they had not had received any confirmation for my insurance company and that I had to get in touch with them, to pay for the car damage. I made a phone call to the phone number that was in my letter and a lady that almost did not listen to me said that I was responsible because, as the contract said, I had the car when that happened. I searched on the internet and the Ford Fusion Windshield Spontaneous Crack is a VERY common issue for this car review. So it means to me that this issue is not an accident, is a defective car offered by Enterprise. Anyway, the lady at the Rental Office in Louisville said that they have nothing to do with this because they did not see what happened to the car. The Lady at that Phone number said that I could call the Expedia insurance, but I did not have to, because this usually costs just a little bit,(I have not idea of what is the range or meaning of a little bit), because she said that the amount due on the computer is showing up that not yet determined amount is due. So that, I do feel disappointed and lost. I am an Unsatisfied Customer. I was not given a logical solution after dealing with more than 3 customer service representatives. I did not break the windshield. I am having at least another 7 business trips this year all around United States, for business and I won't ever recommend Enterprise. And, I Won't ever rent a Ford Fusion in my life. If any representative of Enterprise is reading this review, please feel free to investigate and contact me to look for a solution, thank you.
