Wal-Mart Complaint - Wal mart pharmacy more concerned about revenue then your well being
ORLANDO, FL -- "take 1 1/2 tablet one to twice daily" ..30 count in bottle.
this is where math comes in folks and apparently you are not required to know basic mathematics to be a Wal Mart pharmacist.
had my prescription transferred to a Walmart in Orlando Florida (john young/sand lake) and went to refill it.
the lady informed me that the computer had it noted as a 60 count instead of a 30 count and therefore had to wait for another month to refill it. Showing her the bottle (and the number "30" on the blasted thing) would not deter her. further more, she insisted that taking my meds as directed would have left me with enough for 60 days.
it took me 20 minutes to explain to her (AND HER MANAGER) the following simple math equation;
1/2 tablet taken twice a day = 1 tablet.
there are 30 tablets in a bottle.
given one tablet is taken a day how many will be left in 30 days?
answer:(I'll give you a hint..it has something to do with their apparent combined iq)
therefore if I was left with ZERO pills after 30 days..and the bottle clearly says "30 count" and NOT 60...how the smeg is the computer right???
the worst part of it is that this happened LAST month. after seeing the light bulb flicker over the managers half glazed eyes she quickly fixed it and no problem.
now lets go forward 30 days.
im in line to refill my prescription and guess what?
deja vu..SAME PROBLEM. cept this time the manager refuses to "override" the computer as it will create discrepancies in her report...well god forbid my health and well being should come between her and her precious stats!!
Wal mart customer service informs me that it is not their responsibility or problem, as the pharmacy is for all intents and purposes separate from them...well thats funny..i don't remember reading or hearing anything about that when they were trying to get me to have my prescription filled there.
so now I'm out of my meds, which is very unhealthy for me.
but at least ANGELA DOES'NT HAVE HER DISCREPANCY.
so if you care about your health...STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM WAL MART.
ps the overworked and under appreciated cashiers are ALWAYS nice at this location.
