Sears Complaint - Delivery and Installation Service Absolutely Useless
LAWRENCEVILLE, NEW JERSEY -- I truly hope that someone from Sears contacts me after this review. Let me start by saying I will NEVER buy a product from Sears again - regardless of the price. We bought a stacking Washer/Dryer from the store to be delivered and installed. Clearly neither of the delivery people had ever installed this type before, but to their credit they admitted this. It went downhill after that.
After spending an hour trying to figure out the pieces to stack the unit they went through the effort of stacking the dryer on top of the washer without hooking up the hoses. Only then did they realize they couldn't pull out the units any further and told me "This isn't a standard hook-up - we can't do it". I was more than a little pissed because the obvious response was - let's pull the dryer back off the washer and hook it up first! I suggested this, and after a fairly heated discussion, they left. Is this a JOKE.
No offer to call the manager to rectify the situation - they said "you do it"
Left everything on the floor of my basement
Took my old washer/dryer in the truck as they drove off
Left a leaking faucet behind the washer
I could write a whole other review on their 'customer service'
ABSOLUTELY USELESS! Seriously, something needs to be done. This can't be an isolated case.
