Baron Auto Maxx Inc Medford Complaint - Beware they are Scammers

MEDFORD, NEW YORK -- First of all they advertise one price and when you get there guess what that car was sold, but they have the same one that was advertised, but it is $4000. MORE. Anyway I was very pressured on purchasing this car, I left and 2 minutes later they called me and told me to come back we could work it out. In the next 2 hours they sold me the car, I left with it that day. It had a lot of scratches on it I told them about it and the told me to bring it back on Monday,(it was Saturday)I agreed. Well that was 2/27 it is now 4/3 and it still has not been done, today they told me they WERE NOT going to to anything about it. When the salesperson drove the car around front for me to take it, he handed me 1 key, I asked about a 2nd and he told me it would come in later in the week, they had just got this car in and they spare keys are mailed, well guess what there is no 2nd key and it will cost me $ get one from the Dodge dealer. They will not do anything about that either. Both things that they told my were to be handled now are my problem. I am filing formal complaints about these. When Igot the car home, my brother looked at it, I was alone with my 12yr old son at the time I purchased the car, the front tires were bald and the wheel well broken. The tires would have never passed inspection. The trunk would also not open. I took the car back and they had me take it to "their auto repair shop"which they told me the car had already been there for the trunk, another lie from Baron they told me they had just got the car in the day before. I would never deal with this company again and would advise any one looking for a car to avoid this dealership. They are not honest.

I am not by any means indicating any of this is your fault. However, never ever ever buy a used car without first taking it to YOUR mechanic to be looked at. Most will do so for around $100---well worth saving grief and nonsense in the long run.

The bald tired and the scratches, those you could have noticed easily on your own. AS for not being able to pass inspection---it may be illegal in your state to sell a car that hasn't or will not pass inspection--you might want to look into that option.
