Target Complaint - Doing good doesn't pay
I have had a Target credit card for over 10 years. They've never lost a dime on me, and I've paid a few late charges without complaint. I recently paid them off after tiring of their usurious interest rates.
They did not credit my account - it went to another account. They promptly charged me a $39 late fee. I suspect it was my original Target store card, which they changed to a Visa years ago. I have talked to their "Service Center" and emailed. They know the account it went to, but can't seem to refund the payment or credit me the late fee. I'm really tired of calling them and so they Win - and everyone should be aware. All those years of making money off me got me nothing but another last turn of the screw.
