Sears Informative - Sears Installation and Repair Service Useless and Frustrating
We had the second new washing machine in a month installed by Sears last week. The first machine had a short agitator that didn't even move the clothing to get it wet, let alone clean.
On Thursday the installation technicians incorrectly installed the machine and didn't turn on the water to the machine. When the water was turned on so we could use it, the hoses weren't tight. Water sprayed everywhere.
I called on Friday to have them remedy the installation. Even after I told them I needed someone to fix it that day, the soonest they could schedule me was Monday. I balked and told them this was inconsiderate since they were the ones who screwed up. No one budged. I scheduled the repair with them for after 5 on Monday. I was told I'd get a call Sunday night to confirm the repair window of time.
After no confirmation call on Sunday evening, I phoned them this morning to confirm their appointment time.
You know what they said? They said they had no record of my Thursday phone call. Well I certainly do. Needless to say by this point I wanted to speak with someone else. The supervisor was of no help either. She said the soonest she could get someone in to fix would be on Wednesday.
Now the machine was installed Thursday and won't be functionaly until a week later? This is total incompetency. I will never purchase anything from Sears again. In fact, I will have it correctly installed by someone else!
