AT&T Wireless Compliment - Dang, She was good - mobile phone service

MIDWEST CITY, OKLAHOMA -- Now that Zzrokk has clocked out his my3cents account my mind is free to ponder the big picture. So there I am pondering about how much I spend on my wireless service for two phones that seldom get used. My wife is a land line girl from jump street and I have an employer issued mobile phone that for the time being I can pretty well use for anything. I haven't been under contract with AT&T for over a year. So, eh I thought perhaps a prepaid AT&T gophone could save a few nickles. I looked at our past usage, the number of days either of us used our phones and such. The math said get a prepaid gophone.
I walk into my local AT&T authorized dealer and am greeted by a lovely young girl named Keri. I told her about my math and my additional pondering time in life that led me to the gophone plan. She said no problem I can help you but first let me take a look at your situation. A few key strokes and mouse clicks later she says how about this. What if I could cut your monthly bill by 40% would you stick with the national plan. I said I'm listening. She said this and that but basically she fished out several discounts that I was qualified to receive and Yada yada yada I'm walking out of the store with a 40% reduction in my monthly plan, her card if I had any troubles and no commitment so that I can still do my gophone plan tomorrow if I so desire.
You gotta love it when somebody saves you money and does so with a wonderful cheery attitude. Big kudos to Keri you rocked my cell world. You're awesome.

Why did you find it necessary to mention, 'lovely young girl named Keri'? Would it have made a difference if the service rep was an 'ugly old boy named Carey'?

Interesting points, DB. Check your next bill for any sneakiness.
I, too, prefer prepaid phones as theres no taxes, hidden fees, no sneakiness involve.

Hey its all good. Just watch out for that added amount they will eventually sneak it, so that those who cannot afford cell phones, are entitled to one, on your dime and mine.

I'm delighted to hear that Stew. I've made changes in my Comcast. They are due here next Monday. I certainly hope Anguss does me proud just as Keri did you.
