Automax Complaint - Lied to again

613 SW 74TH OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA -- I bought a used car on March 28,2010. The salesman was friendly and nice. I bought the extended warranty(paid cash $2000.00)the financial man swore this was the best warranty and if I have any problems just bring it in and they will fix it, so a couple of days later I turned on my air conditioner and guess what warm air. So I take it back to Automax and tell them and they say bring it in Monday morning and they will fix it. Monday morning I take off work (only car I have) take it up there and leave it. They call me and say they can't fix it for 30days...I told the Manager I had to take off work to get my car fixed and he said "Did the salesman tell you to take off" needless to say I saw red. I don't know why they said to bring it in when they apparently knew they wouldn't fix it for 30days. So in 30days I will go back and attempt to get it fixed.
But personally I will never buy anything from them again.

I apologize for your very frustrating experience trying to get your air conditioner repaired under your extended warranty. I agree with you that it would be exasperating to have someone tell you to bring the car in, then when you get to the service department have someone else tell you that we could not look at it for a month. The only thing I can say is that customers often call their sales person when they have any kind of issue (like an air conditioner that quits). Unfortunately, the sales staff will not be able to set service appointments, answer finance questions, or do much beyond helping you understand how to work your vehicle’s features. You need to ask for the service department for repairs or maintenance, and finance for any questions about your paperwork. I do hope that you were able to get the help you needed on your air conditioner, and that this can help other customers direct their questions and get better results. Again, I am sorry that we did not give you better information and better service from the beginning.
