Sears Complaint - "New" Mower With No Battery
NEWPORT, KENTUCKY -- I purchase a "closeout" model B & D Mulching Mower from Sears in Newport, KY. When I went to pay for it they handed me my receipt rolled the mower to the door and said thank you! I asked about a manual and the charger the sales people went and asked Bob ( the manager in his office) he said to order it on Sears.com! I said wait a minute this in brand new and I have to order the battery charger, etc . A more senior sales person said no way and went to talk to Bob (still in his office). They ordered the battery charger and a new battery which arrived within four days, great! Now the only problem I need to take it back to Sears to have the battery installed and to find out about the "key" to turn it on ( didn't have one of those either)! I have printed off my own manual that is how I found out I needed a key to start it!!! You guessed it Bob is still in his office we never saw him...
I have three major appliances in my kitchen and several power tools all purchased from Sears but I believe this will be my last major purchase. Truly, very unprofessional customer service!
