Summit Staffing Complaint - Unprofessional Staffing Agency---borderline discriminitory

Review by C. on 2010-04-07
DENVER, COLORADO -- Last Friday, I applied for a job at Summit Staffing. I interviewed with them on Tuesday morning. While I was waiting in the lobby, two employees came out from the back and were chatting. This was their conversation:

Employee 1: He's not all there--not all together. Well, he's like 40 years old!

Employee 2: Really? Ewwwww!

Employee 1: Well, he's at least in his late 30's.

Employee 2: Yuck!

Really? This is the conversation you want candidates to hear? First of all, how immature does a person have to be to believe that someone who is 40 would not have have their faculties together? I know the age for discrimination is 41, but this exchange was blatantly discriminatory!!!!

I didn't get a job with them and I'm kind of glad. Apparently, if you're over 25 (I'll be 40 in August), they don't want to hire you......because we're "not all together." Stay away from Summit Staffing!

that's what I was going to say. For all you know, she was talking about her hideous blind date from the night before.

even if you have creepy potential coworkers it is a job.

besides maybe you can make their lives hell at work if they annoy you >:-)

Don't judge the whole company based on an overheard conversation between two immature 20-somethings. Like the others said, you don't really know who they were talking about.

And doesn't everyone in their 20's think that 40 is old?
