Spirit Airlines Complaint - Dissapointed - Service & Fees
I recently flew from Chicago to Fort Lauderdale.
I should have known better. The fee to check bags was no big surprise.
$20. was more than I anticipated. I that I could put everything I needed in my carry-on.
Then I had to pay to reserve a seat. $32 for 2 people round trip.
That seat I had to pay for was a Kiddie seat. My butt was numb and I DON'T have a big ONE. My tall husbands knees, One of which is bad were
jammed in the back of the seat in front of him. and he was in an aisle seat. The poor guy sitting in the window seat was bent up like a pretzel.
I'm sure he had to go to a Chiropractor the next day.
After giving it some thought, I would have spent just as much on another airline that so far doesn't charge for bags.
The flight was an hour and 1/2 late. no explanation given. something about the plane had come from Haiti and they had to wait there for some supplies....no kidding. That's a little scary.
To make up for the incovenvience of waiting. Spirit would let you check your bag at the gate for Free Guess I saved $50 :).
I don't think I will flying on Spirit in the future. Especially with the new $45 fee to put a carry-on in the overhead.
I do own a couple of large handbags I can put a couple of outfits in
