AOL Complaint - VERY poor service!
WEST VIRGINIA -- A few months ago I switched from AOL 8.0 to 9.0 (after adding considerable memory and a new hard drive)and it's been nothing short of unacceptable. Even though I'm paying for unlimited access, half the time I get a warning box from AOL that states "Response from service is delayed...the server is busy or unable to immediately respond." Tech support (I've called MANY times. The last time I was placed on hold for 5 minutes, then disconnected) always tries to make me think the problem is with my computer (settings, etc.) but I'm no longer buying that schtick. The settings on my computer don't change. When I can't access AOL at 5:00 a.m. but I have no such problem two hours later...that tells me the problem is AOL's, NOT mine. Over the last few years AOL has gotten worse and worse. It's got about 10 minutes to improve...or it's losing yet another customer.
