Travelocity Complaint - Impossible to deal with
I made reservations last night through Travelocity for two nights at the end of this week. Today I had to change plans and called to cancel one night. (48 hours in advance). To make this change the lady I talked with at their call center insisted on charging me $90.00 more than the one night I was trying to get credit for. To further compound the problem I am positive their call center was in Pakistan. The lady that I spoke with spoke reasonably accent free English when she answered the call. The longer the call went the more pronounced her accent became. It was obvious she didn't want to deal with my problem. When I asked for a supervisor I was told that one was not available.
Bottom line I read the cancellation policy prior to giving them my debit card number (which they instantly hit) but while I was well within the time frame they outlined for cancellation the lady I chatted with invoked "this is our policy" multiple times. I, of course, opted to go ahead and pay for the room that I wanted to cancel, but after using Travelocity on mulitple occasions for business trips you can rest assured that I will never use them again.
I can not tell you how disappointed I was with the treatment I received. Travelocity is very quick to take your money, but trying to get someone to help you to reasonably resolve a problem seems beyond their scope of understanding.
I am very disapponted in the outcome of my call to them. I understand Travlelocity's desire to save a buck by moving their call center over seas, (that is their business) but that doesn't aborgate their responsibiliy to provide human interaction with their customers that at least (on the surface) acts like they have a modicum of concern.
Travelocity...you thoroughly disappoint me.
