T-Mobile Complaint - T-Mobile's phone and network is 5 years behind
My first complaint is the lack of 3g service just 20 miles form Colorado Springs. Second my commute to work takes me through some mountains and there is no service for 15 miles. (Even though Verizon has had coverage for 5 years.) But what really "fried my chicken" was during a trip from San Diego to Colorado Springs I had no service for most of the state of Utah!
I was passing tower after tower and even though roaming is "free of charge" on my plan, good ole T-MObile didn't have a contract with that particular carrier. (How would you like to have car trouble 100 miles from the next town and not have service even though you were standing under a cell phone tower!)
I guess I'm on a rant today because I was just informed by T-mobile that they were throttling my data usage back for the rest of the month because I used 10gig. I know that's a lot but I purchased a G1 phone from them because among other things I wanted to listen to online music. I called before I signed up for Slacker and was told I had unlimited data usage. It can be argued that they have lived up to there promise but I'm throttled to 50k which is less than my old modem. (So try that unlimited thing for awhile and you'll see that it is in affect limited to around 12-13 gig.)
I guess if you live in a metropolitan area T-mobile might be ok but if you venture more than 10 miles from your city you will regret using Tmobile for your carrier. (I even get dropped calls and no data between Colorado Springs (pop. 600,000) and Denver (pop >2 million)
