Ashley Furniture Complaint - Unhappy with stock availability
FOUNFTAIN VALLEY, CALIFORNIA -- I originally purchased a couch from Ashley Furniture in Fountain Valley on March 9th. They stated prior to purchase the couch was in stock and would be delivered within the next few weeks. The receipt showed an estimated date of around March 31st. I called on the 31st to find out when I could expect the couch. I was told the couch was not available and the soonest they could estimate the couch being ready was the first week of May.
Today, April 7th, I went in to the store to find out if the estimated date of availability had changed, it had not. The sales people, and manager were reluctant to offer any help in finding the couch sooner or offering any sort of discount due to the extended waiting period. also they do not sell floor models, so that was not an option.
I was able to get a full refund, so I went somewhere else, and was able to purchase a couch and have it delivered next day.
Good products if you don't mind waiting for them, but I don't see how they can continue to sell and advertise items they do not stock on hand, or have any idea when they will become available.
