Recently I renegotiated my account with DishNetwork, only to find out they would not honor their offer. I was a long time customer with DishNetwork, 7 or 8 years. On Jan. 31, I renegotiated an upgrade in equipment at an agreed monthly price. I told the representative that I'd call back once I double checked our budget. I called back twice to accept the offer and continue my subscription to DishNetwork. Both times after going over the entire scenario with the CSR, and wasting 15± minutes on the phone, I was told that I'd have to speak with their "Loyalty" department. Upon being transferred I was disconnected. I finally got through to the right department but was then told that they could no longer honor their offer. I was told that their pricing structures changed on February 1. Something that was not told to me on Jan. 31, when I originally called to renegotiate my subscription. This only leads me to believe that they would have had me sign up when I called back only to find out that my monthly charges would increase by about 30%. I'm very disappointed with how DishNetwork handled my account and how they reneged on our agreement. They have lost a long time customer who would have paid in over $800 a year because they wanted to raise their rates and charge me an additional couple of hundred dollars annually.
I would suggest anyone who might want to sign on with DishNetwork to reconsider. A company who used to award loyalty now, in my opinion, disregards such loyalty and is not worth the cost or service. For the very reasons that the cable companies have lost customers now seems to be the norm with DishNetwork. Shame on you DishNetwork!
