Pfizer, Inc. Informative - 18 days - Chantix
Being I'm one of the last four people on the planet who smoked, I figured it was time (again) to quit (again). This is my third round on Chantix, and I have to say, this stuff is something else. The first two times I tried it, I only lasted for a month before I got sick of the mental side effects, but I managed to stay smoke-free for three months before I caved like a house of cards.
I am amazed, though, at how little I think about smoking. I had a particularly bad day yesterday, and just for the heck of it, I took a drag of one and I swear, it was like licking an ashtray. Didn't make my day any better, but I realized how truly nasty it is, so when I have those fleeting thoughts of strolling down memory lane, I can remember this and snap out of it.
Obviously it's not for everyone, and there are warnings all over the place that should be heeded, but I would recommend that the remaining three smokers on the planet, if and when they are ready to quit, give it a try.
I'm going to try to stick it out for all three months this time and hope that I stay off the sticks forever.
So I apologize to anyone to whom I've been a witch. It'll pass.
