T-Mobile Informative - Broken promise regarding coverage improvement
CALIFORNIA -- I have been a T-Mobile customer for over 10 years because their service is excellent in Hawai'i where we used to live. Unfortunately their service is totally unacceptable in the area of Southern California where we now live - and they have consistently promised to upgrade, including a promised tower which has now been cancelled. We have been paying $10 a month extra for internet connection based on this promise - and due to a phone upgrade are again locked into a time contract. (They claimed verbally that this should solve the bad service problem.) Our carpenter and electrician (also T-Mobile customers) experience lousy service only in our neighborhood where there is no terrain interference, btw...
Now they refuse to let us opt out of our contract. Does anyone know if they can hold us to this obligation when all we have was their word that service would improve? We do not want to jeopardize our credit rating.
