Wells Fargo & Company Complaint - Check Card & Online purchases, screwed
I have an online subscription to a website. I have had it for over 6 months. I am charged monthly in US FUNDS. This month, Wells Fargo decided to charge a 3% International fee for online purchases that the company (whether listed on the website or not) is not in the US. What this means is that YOU the consumer has to verify where that company is located (not just their ISP Server) before you hit the confirm button, otherwise Wells Fargo is going to enjoy your purchase as well, at 3% of the total cost. I can't believe that they would pay one of their flunkies to research every online web site's parent companies location just to screw their customers out of 3% of their purchase. But I guess if you do it to all of your customers, it adds up pretty quick. I am now looking for a new bank to transfer my 4 accounts, and my kids accounts as well.
