Complaint - Refuses to honor gift certificate and cares nothing that number was stolen from someone on their end!!

I had won a 500 gift certificate and used 320 of it right away, saving 180 to use later. When I tried to use the 180 I was told after numerous phone calls that apparently the gift certificate code was stolen by someone at their end but they refused to tell me who stole it and where merchandise was shipped to so I could press charges. They acknowledged that the remainder WAS stolen but also refused to rectify telling me," Too Bad!"

Since I cannot take the thief to court because they will not identify or go after the person themselves and that will not refund a lousy 180 dollar gift certificate that they offered in a contest to promote good PR about their company, I hope that this serves to give them 180 dollars of BAD PR! Stay far away from this website since they are unable to keep your information safe and refuse to prosecute people that steal!

Whether or not they go after this person, I think they should still honor the remaining amount of the certificate. I don't blame you for feeling cheated. Why should you suffer because of their dishonest employee?

Agreed, Venice. If anything, this company should be bending over backward to reimburse this unfortunate customer if they knew the problem originated with their company. That sucks.

Thanks for your encoraging words! To wit, they never bothered to answer any of my emails or phone calls. Anyone have any suggestions?
