PETOSKEY, MICHIGAN, MICHIGAN -- As a consumer from your state, I felt it was my responsibility to bring to your attention the following incident.
This is regarding the Comfort Inn in Petoskey Michigan. I have sent numerous letters to the Local Comfort Inn where I stayed a month or so ago regarding some serious safety issues, customer service issues and also a wireless internet problem that was not resolved during my stay. A copy of all letters were also sent to a general customer service site as well. According to the Comfort Inn policy, a refund is due if a problem is unable to be rectified while staying at the facility. Even though I had many issues during my stay of which were not rectified during my stay Comfort Inn is refusing to follow their own policy and grant me a refund. This policy is stated in a brochure in the rooms and also was reviewed with me by the front desk staff at the time of checkin. Can I do anything about this? How do I make sure that the safety issues are dealt with?
As a resolution, I would like the following:
Please let me know what I can do to have this addressed. I am only trying to get a fair and justified refund for a five day stay and also make sure that someone else doesn't have the same issues. I have copies of the letters I sent as well as the reply letters I received.

AS OF 12/6/04 THE ISSUE HAS STILL NOT BEEN RESOLVED AND CHOICE HOTELS HAS SENT ME TWO LETTERS STATING THAT THE LOCAL COMFORT INN HAS RESPONDED AND THAT THEIR RESPONSE IS ACCEPTABLE. EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE STILL NOT REFUNDED MY MONIES SPEND ON THE STAY PER COMFORT INNS OWN POLICY. I AM ASKING THEM TO ABIDE BY THIER OWN POLICY AND THEY REFUSE TO DO SO. ALL THEY DID WAS GIVE ME A 10% OFF COUPON THAT COULD ONLY BE USED AT THE SAME HOTEL. WHY WOULD I WANT TO STAY THEIR AGAIN WHEN THE SERVICE WAS SO BAD. THIS ISSUES HAVE STILL NOT BEEN RESOLVED.
As of 08/2006 the problem was never resolved and I had even gone back to the same room and the shower problem had not been repaired and when I asked some of the people staying in this hotel about their experience they told me that they had the same issues. I received a letter from the hotel manager giving me a small discount on my next visit to that hotel and that was it. Why would I want to stay at the same hotel with those problems.? What a joke.
