Sprit Air Complaint - Paying for seat selection
I travel 8 - 10 times each year and thought I had encountered every inconvenience - that is until I booked a 'discount' flight on Spirit Air. AFTER they took my credit card, I found out about the added charge for seat selection. That's right - not just for premium seats, but an added charge (per person, per leg of the trip) to reserve any seats. So, in order to sit with my young child, I paid $80 extra each way. When you add that to the $150 for our bags, this isn't such a great deal after all. The email confirmation I got said that I had not selected seats or paid for bags, so I had the pleasure of sitting on hold for 15 minutes waiting to talk to India to straighten this out.
I will absolutely never, ever use this airline again.
