US Airways Complaint - I think she was having a bad day.
My husband and I just returned from our flight 4207 from Charlotte to Augusta. I believe that in all my years of travel (a young 54) I have never encountered a flight attendant acting rude. We traveled on a small prop plane that was full. My husband likes to be the last one on the plane because he is very tall. I on the other hand like to get on when called so I can have room to store carry-ons. We lucked out on this trip because our son was driving to our traveled location and agreed to take our luggage. I had a medium purse and my husband had a small laptop. We were one of the last ones on the plane and because my husband booked late we ended up sitting in those crazy first seats that face the next row. Let me add that I work in Customer relations and have become good at making the customer happy at all cost. Which sometimes can be a challenge but one that I love! When I get to my seat I notice that the attendants buckle and brochure are on my seat. I pick them up and say " I am sorry are these yours". She looks at me and says sharply,"Mam you need to store that". She was talking about my purse that was small enough to put under my seat. I comply and open the first bin that is somewhat full and try to fit it in. She then barks to go to the next one. I comply because in my experience being calm is best. Needless to say I am in the front of the plane with the passengers watching me and listening to her (a little awkward). She then decides that she does not want us to sit there and asks us to go to the back of the plane where there are two empty seats. I smile and head to the back. After sitting I look at my husband with wide eyes that he knows without me saying is WOW. I then watched her speak sharply with other passengers and have an attitude when reciting the safety speech.
I don't know what she had encountered prior but you always have to shake it off and be professional no matter what, as hard as I know it can sometimes be.
