Hotelreservations.com Complaint - Non existent cancellation policy
Greetings, I booked a room at the Cape with hotelreservations.com about 8 days before the arrival date. Read the cancellation policy-they don't charge one. Our plans changed & I needed to cancel-I got switched to another 800# as my plan was too complicate for the original cancellation. Spoke with a Lenya who told me the hotel I booked had a charge for cancelling & that I'd have to call back tomorrow @ 9a to speak with a mngr @ the hotel, as on one there now could do this! I asked to speak with Lenya's mngr-was put on hold for over 5mins, until I hung up. I called the hotel directly-they do have a TWO WEEK cancellation policy! Now, that information should have been on the site when I made my reservation through hotelreservations.com. It wasn't. I'll be speaking with the mngr of the hotel later, & I've been promised it shouldn't be a problem. Do you think I'll ever use hotelreservations.com again?
