Home Depot Complaint - What's "customer service"?
Went to Home Depot on Delridge (Seattle) on 4/20/10 and asked the greeters where we could find wainscot. Reply: "What's that? Can you spell it?" They directed us to ask for help at the flooring customer service. Walked over there and were completely ignored. Wandered around. Finally found someone to help us find wainscot. He told us, "This store only carries the big 4x8 panels. We're like the convenience store of Home Depots. We don't carry that (wainscot)." Poked around and lo and behold FOUND wainscot in the corner of the store. Big duh. Went to Home Depot Tukwila on 4/21/10 to buy Behr paint. COMPLETELY ignored at paint desk. Guy didn't even look up and say, "I'll be with you in a minute." When he was done with the person he was helping, he simply turned around and walked away. Another useless employee walked up and I said, "I just have a question. How much is a gallon of Behr paint?" "What sheen?" "Eggshell." "$23.99." That exchange took 5 seconds but I had to wait 5 minutes to get help. We got in the car and bought ALL of our paint at Costco. This isn't the first time I've had horrible customer service at Home Depot. In fact, it's a given that I will be barked at, ignored and/or misled every single time. Thanks, Home Depot. You make me appreciate Mclendon's and Costco so much more.
