Lowe's Complaint - Storm door purchase,and installation
MT. VERNON,, OHIO -- In April, I purchased a storm door from Lowes. The salesperson who helped me was very courteous and helpful . He explained the proceedure for the installation and the pre-pay for the work of $35. and gave me the paper work, I paid the $35.
I understood that I would be contacted about the installation. I was, and the man came to measure the door way, then I waited several daays and did not hear from Lowes. I called and the installers report had been turned in, but seemingly lost in the pile, and I was not called to get the purchase completed., I called and then, went to the store to complete paying for the door, I noticed that the $35. had not been subtracted from the installing fee. Here is my complaint: In trying to make the computer accept the pre-payment, it took at least a half hour standing at the register, for four employees to be tied up trying to get the company computer to correct this error. they finally made a subtraction from the original install fee on the form and were able to conclude the sale.
It seems that the company computers should not be so difficult in making these kinds of adjustments.
I have no complaint about the employees, and certainly would praise the installer (M. T) FOR HIS PROMPT COURTEOUS WAY HE DID THE WORK IN THE HOME; and the clean up after the job was completed. Thanks for listening.
