Dish Network Complaint - Not told of 24 mo contract
I called to cancel my acct. because I have moved to another state and signed up with Dish at the new address. I was informed that I had a two yr contract and could not get out of it and had to pay 270.00 to cancel this contract...which I did not know I had a two year commitment and would not have signed it if I had known.
The only thing I signed was the work order saying the installer did his job and installed the equipment.
I have gone through three people the last one being Tony Ponce Exec resolution dept
The man I spoke to before Tony was Ron who had an English accent, he was supposed to be a supervisor but he was very rude and could not do anything to help me at all.
I feel that since we took Dish with us to the new address that they should honor a 7 yr customer and waive that fee.
We did not know we were put into a two yr contract so the sales person should have made that clear to us at that time as well.
I am very frustrated with Dish and their customer non service dept.
I will have to contact my atty. to have them resolve this issue, but what a pain to have to do this with a company that I have been with for 7 yrs...where is the loyalty to the long term customer.
